Quotes vary depending on whether you have private health insurance or not due to the costs charged by hospitals.  Quotes also vary depending on whether your policy covers you for your specific operation or not, as well as the excess associated with your policy, and your desired location (hospital of choice) for the operation as some hospitals charge more than others for those without insurance.

Once we know about your situation, we will happily give you a quote and choice of hospitals so you can decide.

Note: If you have private health insurance, we recommend that you contact them first and ask if your policy covers you for your desired procedure before contacting us, so you can advise us if you are covered or not so we can prepare an accurate quote.

Financing Loan

MediPay specialise in payment plans for medical and surgical procedures. This might be an option if you are looking for a way to finance bariatric surgery.

Superannuation

You can also access up to $10,000 of your superannuation to pay for your care.  The application for early super release is processed by the Australian Tax Office.

You will need to complete an application form and obtain a written letter of support from both your GP and Dr Ozmen. Dr Ozmen will provide a letter of support upon request after your initial consultation.

It takes about 3 weeks for the ATO to process the application and a further 4-6 weeks for your superannuation fund to release the funds to your personal bank account. Government information can be found on the ATO website or the Australian Government Department Human Services website.
